Well... I didn't think I would be the one to begin a blog! Out of all people who would have guessed! Anyways, I have resorted to blogging to keep everyone updated which is much cheaper, easier, and less headaches for all. Glad that we can all keep in touch and updated! Hope you ENJOY!

After weeks of packing in South Carolina, JC and I were standing on the scale the night before leaving to go to Auckland weighing each bag. I am proud to say we moved with only 6 checked in bags and two "HEAVY" carry ons. As we were getting ready to pack up the car to head towards Charlotte, North Carolina (Feb. 21st) JC realized he had lost his wallet. Well, not that he lost it BUT it was in his pants pockets in one of the 8 bags. Mom, Cousin Ronnie, JC, and I began to take each bag out of the car to search for the missing wallet. Over an hours worth of time we found the wallet which was pushing us now to drive on time to Charlotte(1.5 hours) away. When we arrived the lady at the counter could not locate our tickets. After JC called Air New Zealand with time they found US! The lady became nicer with time and let us check all 6 bags with a few pounds over weight! Most of the over weight was the 25 pounds of Costa Rican coffee we packed! We headed to Los Angeles which took 4.5 hours. There was enough time in LAX to hear the Air New Zealand announcement that if our carry ons weighed more than 15 pounds we needed to check them. Thank goodness they didn't charge and it was nice to have them to take our "heavy" carry ons! We left for Auckland around 9:15pm and was served dinner soon after. Then it was off to sleep! JC and I both slept great and woke up right before breakfast! The 12 hour flight was super fast and so glad we were able to sleep. The baggage claim was a breeze and we were able to cart our bags all the way to the Super Shuttle bus which took all of our bags and dropped us in front of our hostel. We had made it to AUCKLAND (Feb. 23rd) with a huge surprise that the hostel was remodeled with new furniture and a great bed! KIORA NEW ZEALAND!
